Meet Bryan & Danielle

We are Bryan and Danielle, and we live in the countryside of Virginia with our son, Oliver; our daughter, Grace; and our four dogs and three miniature horses.

It has been a lifelong passion of mine to capture and tell stories that evoke real emotion from viewers. As with all works of art, people will often forget the artist; they may even forget many of their works; but they will never forget how he or she made them feel. I believe that's what separates cinematic video professionals from just "a person with a nice camera." My goal is to always be humble -- never creating art for my own accolades -- but to put you and your special day on a pedestal above all else... to capture memories, romance, and emotion that can be referenced throughout your entire life.

We only book a select number of weddings throughout the year, so that we can work closely with our couples and devote our energy to producing amazing products for them.

If you are interested in cinematic videography for your wedding, please contact us today -- we'd love to meet you in-person or chat over the phone. If we are available, and we mutually believe that we'd be the right fit, then we'd love to be a part of your special day.

"Since I was young, I've always loved films, editing and the study of cinematography.

My first film, which I made when I was 12, was a documentary style short that featured my family's dogs along with interviews with my parents. When I was a teenager, I began producing online videos which received tens of thousands of plays -- before Youtube and "viral videos" even existed.

This passion for video creation led me to study filmmaking at The New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California. There I studied and worked in all aspects of filmmaking, including directing, editing, and cinematography. Throughout the years, I have worked on a number of short and feature films which traveled to various screening and awards circuits. I finished my degree in Communications, with a minor in Film, at George Mason University.

Several years ago, I started Upward Studio, LLC, a video production company focused on commercial and luxury real estate work. Through Upward Studio, I've produced content for hundreds of real estate professionals; corporations; non-profit organizations; small businesses; etc. I bring this immense experience with me to Olea Films."

"I began my career in the fashion world. For nearly a decade, I managed numerous retail fashion stores throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, trained international operations teams, and consulted on visuals and best marketing practices.

Whereas Bryan excels in the technical and cinematic aspects of filmmaking, I bring with me a great attention to detail, and the ability to thoughtfully interact with couples to drive their movement, emotion, and posing to successfully translate their vibrance to film.

I currently serve as Bryan's second cinematic videographer. I have worked as his assistant and second shooter at Upward Studio since early 2015. We work as a team: we have a great collaborative relationship that enables us to capture amazing moments that will last a lifetime."

"Olea" is the Latin word for "Olive Tree." We named the company after our son, Oliver (which means "the Olive Tree"). The biblical olive tree symbolizes fruitfulness, beauty and dignity; and the olive branch is a widely-recognized symbol of peace. These are all qualities that we strive to evoke in our films.
